As simulation needs evolve, the infrastructure must keep pace
In demanding industrial environments, computing performance keeps pace with changes in business practices. It does not replace expertise; rather, it supports it.
For more than 30 years, TECH Systèmes has been developing solutions for air sampling and measurement in contaminated environments, particularly in the nuclear sector. Their work is based on advanced aerodynamic studies and numerical simulations, which are at the heart of their engineering projects.
Over time, their needs have naturally evolved. Simulations have become more complex, more detailed, and more resource-intensive. This is a logical progression, driven by the increasing precision of studies and the sector’s growing demands.
Their infrastructure, which had served them well up to that point, simply could no longer keep up with that pace as smoothly.
Recommended by 4CAD Group, TECH Systèmes’ ANSYS partner, we began by talking with the teams to understand their workflows, working methods, and the software they use on a daily basis.
This analysis phase always allows us to start with the actual need rather than just the technical specifications. Every environment has its own unique characteristics, and every project deserves a tailored approach.
To validate the expected performance, we then provided a test virtual machine. This allowed the teams to run their own simulations and objectively measure the gains achieved before making any decisions.
The workstation that was ultimately deployed was designed with these uses and constraints in mind. Today, simulations run faster, computation times are better managed, and the IT environment more naturally supports the requirements of their client projects.
This project also reminds us that support goes beyond just the hardware. During the deployment phase, we faced longer-than-expected lead times for supplies. To avoid any disruption to operations, a temporary solution was put in place until the final delivery.
TECH Systèmes now has an infrastructure that meets its current needs and is prepared for future developments.
We would like to thank their teams for their trust throughout this project.
