HEXAGON tests our machines

Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence is, among other things, a publisher of CAE/CAM software solutions. In preparation for the next Open House at Ardennes CN, FRA-SYS loaned five machines. Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence set up shop at FRA-SYS to test and measure the performance required for reverse engineering, toolpath calculation and stamping simulation tests.

Two days of testing on our premises

Without going into the details of the measurements, Frédéric Beyan, Application Engineer, made the following observation. When calculating a machining toolpath, it was preferable to use equipment with high power and high frequency, as opposed to more conventional equipment. This corresponds to our Performance range.

For stamping simulation, on the other hand, the software knows how to parallelize. It's a good idea to work on a machine with more cores, such as the Visio 1, to get the most out of the parallelization offered by the software.
